Valentine’s Day is usually all about the women. We get candy, stuffed animals, dinner and a host of other gifts, but what do you get that special guy? I’ve put together this list of quick and easy gift ideas, as well as possible dates. Most of the things on this list are DIY or require minimum spending, but are sure to show your boo thang how much you love him on this Valentine’s Day.
Here are a few gift ideas:
“Open When” Envelopes- Think of thoughtful things to say or memories that you’ve shared with your significant other and write them down. Put them in envelopes and label them with a time when they should be opened. For instance, you might label an envelope “open when you miss me”, “open when you’re mad at me”, or “open when you’re having a bad day”. The possibilities are truly endless and there’s plenty of room for creativity.
Care Package- Buy all of your boo’s favorite snacks, candy, and other goodies. Put them in a box and wrap it like a regular gift. You can put anything in a care package. You can make your care package nice or naughty, but either way, your baby will enjoy it.
5 Senses- Buy sexy little things that stimulate each of the five senses and put them in separate bags. Have your honey open each bag separately throughout the night. You can definitely use this to your advantage. If I were you, I’d save touch for last. *wink, wink*
Favor Coupons- Give your bae a homemade coupon book that he can cash in anytime for special favors and love from you. Keep it interesting and try not to be cliché. You can even throw in a chore pass or an “automatic argument win” coupon… or maybe not that last one. Lol!
Fresh Baked Goodies- If you’re handy in the kitchen, bake your sweetie some sweet treats! Here’s my favorite homemade chocolate chip recipe and it’s very easy! Enjoy!
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter
½ cup oil
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
2 cups milk chocolate chips
Cream butter, oil and sugars. Add eggs and beat until fluffy.
Add remaining ingredients.
Bake at 350 for 7-8 minutes.
Now, on to the date ideas:
Volunteer Together- Go out and volunteer at your local homeless shelter, animal shelter or community cleanup. You’ll be doing the greater good and you’ll be doing it together.
No Power Date- Turn off all the lights, light your candles, turn on your music and grab a bottle of wine. This is the perfect way to set the ambiance without even leaving the house.
Board Games & Chill- Pull out your Monopoly set or Uno Cards and smoke him! It’ll be fun and competitive for both of you.
Nostalgia Movie/Binge Night- Pick a line-up of old classics like Poetic Justice, Friday or Bad Boys and just have a movie night. You can also binge watch old TV shows if movies aren’t your thing. Martin, A Different World or Fresh Prince are just a few options to get you started.
DIY Art- Turn your living room into a Sip & Strokes studio. A few canvases, some paint and brushes, and a bottle of wine is all you need to get your private paint party started. Clothes are optional.
Again, these are just ideas. No one knows your boo better than you, so get creative and do what you know will peak his interest. If he likes video games, hit the arcade. If he likes racing, go go-carting. If he likes Hennessy, pour up! Whatever you do, have fun doing it and enjoy each other’s company.
Until next time, stay SEXY and protect your magic….
